Afrobeats has a new star on its hands by way of MoeLogo, a Londoner via Lagos, Nigeria, set to follow in the footsteps of Afrobeats’ international takeover by the likes of Fuse ODG, D’Banj, Mista Silva, Wizkid and Ice Prince. His new single ‘My Sweetie’ gives a modern day twist to an African party favourite, Bunny Mack’s 1979 classic ‘Let Me Love You’, and features the man himself. ‘My Sweetie’, produced by SOS (Ariana Grande, Wretch 32), followsMoeLogo’s massive street banger ‘The Baddest’, which fused Afrobeats and Hip Hop, and topped off by a feature from Giggs on the remix and a support slot with Davido in London. After receiving heavy support by DJ Edu and Charlie Sloth at 1Xtra and DJ Abrantee, Ras Kwame and E Plus at Capital Xtra, the track was duly added to the 1Xtra B list and peaked at #5 in the Capital XTRA Afrobeats chart. MoeLogo’s latest collaborations sees him teaming up with Sneakbo on his new single ‘I Like It’, and heading out on a nationwide tour throughout March supporting Fuse ODG
