Although Olamide is one of the most recognizable artists in the industry, he doesn’t usually get the YouTube views to back that up.
For instance, he’s never done a music video that crossed the 100M mark on the video-sharing platform.
He doesn’t exactly promote his videos, and he didn’t start taking the videos seriously until recently. Still, Olamide’s got some mad mad videos. Good concepts, good numbers, good music.
Here are his ten most popular videos on YouTube currently, in descending order.
10. Triumphant – 9.1M
“Triumphant” is a single off his 2020 studio album, “Carpe Diem” that featured Bella Shmurda, and it was heavy on the streets in the last days of 2020.
9. Kana Video – 9.3M
Wizkid and Olamide have done quite a number of songs together, but “Kana” might just be the most impressive of all. The official video has 9.3 million views right now, and believe me, for a 2018 video, that’s a lot!
8 Kana Audio – 9.8M
Well, this is weird, because this is supposed to be about music videos. The Kana Audio version uploaded to Olamide’s official channel has even more views than the video.
7. Loading – 10M
“Loading” is another song from “Carpe Diem” that was hot for a while last year. The video which experimented with some VR (virtual reality) was released not long after the album.
6. Totori – 10M
Here is another song that has Wizkid and Olamide together. “Totori” is an ID Cabasa song that was a big hit in 2019.
5. Science Student – 13M
When Olamide dropped “Science Student” in February 2018, people came for his head because he was supposedly publicizing drug abuse.
After he has been dragged on Twitter, he decided to make a video that would say “Say No To Drugs” and he did it. Trust Unlimited LA to fix you up with something nice.
4. Bobo – 25M
His most popular song from the Eyan Mayweather era, “Bobo” is one of Olamide’s hottest songs ever. I don’t think he can ever remake something like that.
3. Motigbana – 30M
Olamide‘s stint with Killertunes gave birth to the hit single, “Motigbana.” How can you believe that video has over 30 million views on YouTube? But it does.
2. Wo – 32M
There’s really no question about how big “Wo” is. It was a smash hit. One-of-a-kind stuff. The track later made it to his “Lagos Nawa” album released in 2017.
1. Infinity – 43M
It is actually no surprise that his most-watched video is because of a sensation like Omah Lay. That “Infinity” track is a bomb. It’s been everywhere, and it’s still making waves actually. 43 million is a lot for a rapper, though.
Let’s hear from you.
