Iyanya had been rumored to be starting his own label, after ‘kinda’ falling out with former partner, Ubi Franklin and Triple MG records. It’s all kinda fuzzy, especially seeing as Iyanya and Ubi Franklin co-won Triple MG. Was there a buyout? Does he still have stake at his former label? We probably wont get all the details till later.
What we do know though is Iyanya was supposed to start his own record label, but instead has decided to pitch his tent with Don Jazzy and Mavin Records. The label, also referred to as Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD) also house the talents of Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, Korede Bello, Di’ja, Reekado Banks and Don Jazzy’s brother, D’Prince.
Here’s how folks on social media have been reacting to the news of Iyanya joining Mavin Records:
Iyanya singed for DonJazy's Mavin… Triple MG is now left with Tekno and Cele Bobo ????????…. Oh and irrelevant Ema Nyra ????????????????

In an industry where anyone with an almost hit track leaves a fledgling label to start another neophytic label, Iyanya to Mavins is a BIG+
