Play Buoy aka Michael Chima Kallys recenctly joined the league of celebrated artist in the Nigerian Music Industry when he dropped his Hit Single ‘Playboy ft. Brymo’. From then on, his fan base has seen a daily rise in numbers. Play Buoy hails from Mbaise, Imo State, South Eastern Nigeria. He is the second son and 3rd child of a family of 6. By 2013, the Lagos based Hip Hop artist is looking to continue his tertiary education in a London Film Sch. after pulling out from Lagos State University.
Play Buoy who was recently appointed as 28 Black’s Brand Ambassador announced his existence in the Music Scene when he dropped a trial Single (We’ve Got The Game ft. 2shotz) in 2006. At the time, he was called Xtreem.Just two years later,
he re-branded. This re-branding process saw the rise of a new label: Playtown, new style of music and a change of name (From Xtreem to Play Buoy). The creation and success the label: Playtown has seen in recent times, has immensely improved people’s perception on Play buoy. His creativity / Business sense has put Playtown amongst the biggest Urban Muic / Hip Hop Record label in the country. Now Play Buoy stands as a successful Artist / Entrepreneur. Play Buoy’s Playtown has recently signed on Alexia, PlayGroup and DJ OZ to the label. In Dec. 2010, Playtown released Play Buoy’s Debut Album.
