Burna Boy Knocks Off Davido Again, Does This Further Prove He Is The Biggest In Nigeria?
Few hours ago, it was revealed that Grammy Award winning Nigerian artiste, Burna Boy’s hit song “On The Low” has finally overtaken Davido’s 2017 hit song “Fall” to become the most viewed Nigerian Music Video on YouTube.
The African Giant’s video which was released in November, 2018 achieved this in less than 3 years of its release which further makes it the fastest music video to hit such number within a short number of time.
Davido’s “Fall” was released a year and few months before then in June, 2017. With both songs having 206 Million views, Burna Boy’s “On The Low” is now leading the Davido’s “Fall” with close to a thousand views as revealed.
“On The Low” is arguably the biggest song off Burna Boy‘s Grammy Nominated 4th studio album, African Giant and the visuals was directed by Meji Alabi.
Other Nigerian music videos apart from Davido’s “Fall” which are ranked in the top 10 Most viewed YouTube Video and are close to hitting the 200M views include;
Sinach’s Way Maker(175M views), Burna Boy’s Ye (141M views), Davido’s If (129M views) and Wizkid’s Joro (123M views), RunTown’s Mad Over You (122M), Yemi Alade’s Johnny (182M views)
The African Giant few weeks back was announced by Boomplay to be the first artiste to hit the 100M Streaming numbers on the platform after he had earlier won the Grammy Award and has gained two nominations for the most covetous music award in the world.
Burna Boy has been leading the course when it comes to the numbers in recent times.
