Forbes has announced that Nigerian entertainers Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido and Mr Eazi, all made ‘Africa’s Icons List’.
They were names alongside powerful women in the world Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Omotola Ekeinde and, Chimamanda Adichie.
Forbes Africa made the list public via their Twitter channel. The magazine said its recognising 100 innovations, inventions, and icons across various industries was a way of celebrating the African mind’s creativity.
“This also includes the award-winning ideas that had defined the African continent and influential role models that have spelt Africa’s growth over the last decade,” it noted.
The efforts of Nigerian entertainers can be easily felt with the likes of Burna Boy and Wizkid winning Grammys this year.
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade, has reacted to the news by thanking the magazine for the inclusion.
