Afro-pop superstar Mayorkun empowers and tackles body-shaming with “Up To Something”. Sampling a Nigerian classic by Plantashun Boiz’ Faze, Mayorkun calmy sings, “… but you don’t really understand, that you’re beautiful just the way you are…”, over the seizing SperoachBeatzz crafted instrumentation reassuring listeners that beauty comes in different forms, shapes, colours and sizes.
“Up To Something” arrives after Mayorkun’s huge wins at the 2019 edition of the Headies Awards, where he won the awards for “Best Pop Album” for his debut LP “The Mayor of Lagos”, and “Revelation of the Year”.
