Popular Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has shared some insights on the ’poor’ state of Nigeria’s Cinema Industry, Nollywood.
According to Mr Maduagwu, the industry is full of lairs who make false claims about the returns in their movies.
The actor also pointed out that it is these claims that don’t reflect, makes potential investors avoid the industry.

Sharing his views, Mr Maduagwu wrote in part: “They will tell you they allegedly made 200 million Naira on a movie at the cinema in 2 weeks, but how come their TAX to the government is allegedly saying something different? Wait, is that alleged incoherent and misleading figure a marketing strategy prank or what? How do you want investors from UK, South Africa, Canada and Europe to come when we allegedly can not be totally honest on the profit and sales recorded at the cinema?”
