While the All Progressive Congress(APC) would still be battling with the harsh reality that it has lost Bayelsa state, the Apex court has slammed the party as well as lead counsel to its candidate, Chief Afe Babalola with a N30 million fine each for agreeing to apply for the review of Supreme court’s judgment on Bayelsa election.
The presiding judge, Justice Amina Augie while making the pronouncement stated that the application amounted to an invitation for the apex court to sit in appeal on its judgment in violation of the Constitution.

Conclusively, she added that there is always an end to litigation.
“There must be an end to litigation,” she said, adding, “the decision of the Supreme Court is final for ages in a matter” and only legislation could change it.”
