Multi-talented singer, Simphiwe Ngema spoke about the last song her late husband, Dumi Masilela recorded few days before his death.
Simz released Dumi’s album in 2018 titled Eternal Crush, one of the singles, Hamba which happens to be the late singer’s recorded song.
The actress further revealed that the song was recorded 4 days before his death and each time she listens to it, she could perceive that he cried.
“Every time I feel down I listen to this song. Dumi recorded this song 4days before he passed away and it was the last song he recorded. When he played it for me I said to him “you sang this song with your soul” and he said “I was crying when I sang this song” When you listen to the song you can actually hear that he was crying. This song was his goodbye,” she said.
Meanwhile, Simphiwe had revealed that she’s ready to let go, because the more she held onto him, the more pain she felt.
“It has been a difficult journey and I feel it is time to let go, holding on what hurts more. Losing Dumi two months after our wedding was worse than my worst nightmare and after he passed away, I was afraid that people would forget him. So I did everything I could to keep his memory alive.
