Is Vector’s “Early Momo” The Best Song Of 2020 So Far?

Until we’re close to the end of the year, you never really know what song will turn out to be the best song of the year for real.

Look at last year, for instance, everybody knew it would be hard for anyone to top DJ Neptune‘s “Nobody” hit, even though it was released very early into the year.

But that’s even the numbers, and the charts and the Awards.

Away from all that recognition and glorification, though, you know when you hear a Song of the Year contender, either we’re in February or we’re in June.

That’s where Vector tha Viper comes in. Here is a 30-something-year-old veteran rapper, whose last major mainstream hit was way back 2016.

Resurfacing in 2021, just after his beef with M.I Abaga that has been the topic for about a year and a half, with a song that almost got swept under the radar.

But that’s not surprising, it’s Vector, he’s a rapper, that happens a lot.

Then suddenly, the song catches on. And, it’s everywhere. It becomes everyone’s favorite, and slowly the song starts to metamorphose into a hit track.

Early Momo” is simply, different. And that’s the catch. Vector doing a duet with Goodgirl LA, a lady who’s got such an electrifying voice, is some kind of vibe that you’d never expect to get in 2021.

It’s like when Vector featured Vanessa Mdee on “I Believe U,” a cut from his Lafiaji album in 2016. But this one is even better.

Looks like romantic low-tempo tunes are all the rave now. Everyone’s doing it, Wizkid‘s whole album was all about it. But, no one has done it better than Vector so far.

Early Momo” is a classic tune, and it will, no doubt, go down as one of Vector’s best songs of all time. I mean, the fans love it, the haters love it, everybody loves it.
