Whitenicious boss, Dencia slammed Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o after she bagged two awards at the NAACP Image Awards over the weekend.
The Kenyan actress was nominated in four categories but she managed to take home two of the awards, which included Best Actress for the movie “US” and Outstanding Literary Work Children for the book Sulwe.
Lupita was not present at the event because she was being hosted by writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in Lagos, Nigeria.
Taking to her Instagram page, she showed her gratitude for the awards.
Dencia stormed the Kenyan actress’ page, claiming she also deserves an award for inspiring Lupita’s book.
In her words,
“Looks like Whitenicious helped you win an award. I’m glad Africans like yourself can capitalize off a brand I single [handedly] created. Congratulations. It feels great to inspire others to do things they never dreamt of.”
It didn’t end there as the Whitenicious CEO took to her Instagram stories to call out Lupita to send her own share since her skin whitening brand was the brain behind her book.
“@Lupita where my cut though,”she wrote.
Dencia also called Lupita a liar as she shared proofs to back her claim.
The singer cum bleaching expert shared a video where a TV host asked Lupita about the inspiration behind her children’s book Sulwe and the actress recalled how in 2014, she gave a speech at Essence seventh annual Black Women in Hollywood.

Lupita said the speech was inspired by a young girl who told her in a letter that she had been thinking of bleaching her skin using Dencia’s Whitenicious and the girl told her that seeing her (Lupita) loving her skin made her realize that it was OK to be black.
Dencia spoke over the video and accused the actress of lying as she claimed Lupita’s publicist told her that it was all a lie and no girl sent any letter.
“Liar liar,” Dencia kept screaming in the video.
Dencia tagged NAACP Image Awards’ official Instagram asking for her own award too since she believes her cream inspired Lupita’s Sulwe.
