The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 146 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total infection to 4,787.
In a tweet by the national disease control agency in the late hours of Tuesday, May 12, Lagos unsurprisingly led the pack with 57 cases while Kano state followed on the log with 27.
Kwara came behind with 10 cases while Edo state followed with 9. Bauchi has 8, Yobe 7, Kebbi and Oyo have four each, as Katsina and Niger have 3 cases equally.Plateau, Borno, Sokoto and Benue states have 2 cases each, while Gombe, Enugu, Ebonyi, Ogun, FCT and Rivers have one case each.
959 people have been discharged so far with 150 casualties on record, as Nigeria is now placed sixth in the list of first ten African countries badly hit by the pandemic.
