Black Coffee isn’t trying to steal the spotlight on a special day dedicated to celebrating Nelson Mandela’s release from the prison.

While Mandela walked out of the Prison free 30 years ago, the DJ was stuck on the hospital bed nurturing severe pain caused by an accident.

Black Coffee reflects on the pain and many other pains experienced in his journey.

However, his music has helped heal first, before his fans.

“30 years ago exactly at this hour I was in hospital in pain after an accident while we were celebrating the release of Nelson Mandela from 27 years of prison.”

“Reflecting on the pain I have been and still going thru while on a journey of recovery learning to accept the new me while being selfless about God’s plans.I understand why HE gave me Music,to heal me 1st before it even gets to you. I’m great full for every note and every melody.I will continue to follow HIS lead. God is with us,” Black added.
