Immediate past governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi has been appointed as the deputy national chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC) following a congress held at the party national secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja.
His emergence, it was gathered has caused rancour among the party faithful as some are against his candidacy.
However, Ajimobi is said to enjoy the backing of some national leader of the Party.

The former governor replaces Otunba Niyi Adebayo who was the immediate past deputy national chairman South after his appointment as Minister for Trade and Investment.
