Nigerian musician and business tycoon, Timaya finally speaks out over his arrest following the hit and run incident charge and accusation held against him.
An Instagram user with the identity of Osinubi Omowumi, who claimed to be the sister of the victim who was knocked down by the celebrity, Timaya, brought the accusation charges online on the 2nd of March, 2022. Now the singer has finally spoken.
Egberi Papa well known as Timaya shared a live post via his Instagram handle on Thursday afternoon after his release, the singer actually narrated what happened between himself and the lady being the victim.
Timaya said, after the lady accused him of hitting her car, he came down to collect her phone number so they could settle the issue amicably and peacefully.
The singer went further and said, on the process of collecting the number from the lady he saw four men advancing towards him in a running motion, being so cautious of himself and not knowing who they were, he hopped straight in his car and drove off away for safety, in the process of leaving the scene in a rush he saw the lady on the floor.
He then said he actually visited the family of the victim and never had any intentions of trying to escape from the whole incident.
Clearly this shows there was a brief and quick misunderstanding between the victim and the celebrity which amounted to the social media saga and miss-interpretation of the whole incident which went viral on the media.
