“Nigerians Should Cast Their Votes Without Fear” – Obama To Nigerians Ahead Of The Presidential Elections

The president of the United States of America, Barrack Obama has released a goodwill message to Nigerians ahead of the presidential elections set to take place this saturday, March 28th, 2015. The video was posted on youtube via the US embassy in Nigeria with the message below: President Obama released a message to the Nigerian people to highlight the opportunity that the upcoming elections present for all Nigerians to stand together in rejecting violence and extremism and instead show their support for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous future. In the video Obama stated “All Nigerians must be able to cast their votes without intimidation or fear. So I call on all leaders and candidates to make it clear to their supporters that violence has no place in democratic elections—and that they will not incite, support or engage in any kind of violence—before, during, or after the votes are counted. I call on all Nigerians to peacefully express your views and to reject the voices of those who call for violence.”
