Angel Tee is a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and model residing in Dublin. Rotor concepts caught up with the beauty who has made appearance in many Irish radio channels, TV as well as entertainment magazines.

Please can you introduce yourself to the readers?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

I am Angel Tina Ekpunobi also known as Angel Tee from Anambra state. I come from a family of seven and I am number five.

Did you grow up in Anambra or somewhere else?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

I grew up in Onitsha; In Anambra state and growing up was really fun. I then went over to Lagos state to continue my education. I read Theatre Art in Rimax Institution in Lagos State and that was when I met Felix liberty

So you planned from the onset to be an artist or why did you study theatre Arts?

Yes, it was my passion from day one

So how did you end up in the music industry?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

I was into modelling while in school, then acting and singing were all in the same category

Let’s talk about your journey into the music world…

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

My passion to become an artist started the night I was asked to be a back-up singer for an artist. It was an artist who came from the US to record a track. From there I started doing back-ups and appearing in artists’ videos. I was in Felix liberty’s video, Alex o’s video and some more. I also appeared in a lot of Tabansi artist’s videos. I recorded my first demo, but I had to abandon it because of lack of funds

So how long have you been in the industry now?

Well, I left industry for 12 years and just started again 2 years ago

How many singles have you released?

I have released 3 singles; ‘Should I’, ‘You & Me’ and ‘I gat class’

Are any of the videos to your singles out?

Yes, the video to Should I is out now. It’s on YouTube and TV stations are showing it regularly

Your singles are doing very well in the UK and Dublin. Where do you get your inspiration from and how do you intend to break into the Nigerian market?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

My inspiration comes from God and life experiences and with hard work I will surely break into Nigerian market

Do you have any role models in the music world and who would you like to work with both locally and internationally?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

My role models are people with good music. I would love to do collaboration with Flavour, I did one already with Solid Star. Davido won’t be a bad idea too and Internationally, I don’t mind my girl Rihanna

Let us digress a bit. What is your best food?

Moi Moi…I’m not a food person, but I can eat Moi Moi every day and if you want me to be even happier, give me goat meat. Those are my favourites

Angel Tee is very single for now

But we understand you are in a coded relationship with Solid star. Are you no longer dating?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

(Laughs) I wonder where they get that from, he is just a good friend. We have never dated and will never date. We just do music together

Where did the news come from then, people must have seen something or what do you think?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

I believe that bloggers just want to spice up their blogs by writing rumours that aren’t true but sound believable. Solid Star and I are really close friends so I can understand why they would mistake it for an intimate relationship.

How did Solid Star react to it?

Well he’s used to rumours like that so we just laugh over it.

Do you think that may affect your working together in the future?

Angel Tina Ekpunobi

I don’t think so because as an artist, you have to be prepared for any kind of rumour and you should not allow it affect your career so, we are still going work together?

If you must date a Nigerian celebrity, who would that be?
Angel Tina Ekpunobi

Hmmm, I have never thought of that so, no comment but I have one footballer in mind…but can’t reveal it yet

What is your take sex before marriage?

It depends on what one actually wants. It’s good to date before rushing into marriage and if people decide to practice sex before marriage it’s their choice. I have nothing against sex before marriage.

Tell us about your saddest day in the industry or in life, if there is any.

Not any for now apart from being attacked by armed robbers sometimes ago while coming from a show.
