Nigerian singer, Burna Boy won’t be coming to SA after withdrawing from the show, Africans Unite concert, which has being cancelled also.

After a week protest, which involves Twitter users and group of artists and event organisers under the umbrella of Tshwane Entertainment Collective, the concert got cancelled for the purpose of safety.

“The decision to cancel the Africans Unite Concert comes after the call from the Tshwane Entertainment Collective to boycott the Africans Unite concert in Tshwane. With the increasing threats of violence from other unfortunate segments of the public and without any government intervention, Phambili Media and Play Network Africa were prompted to take the threats and warnings seriously, as the safety of all artists and attendees could not be guaranteed.”

“We then decided to cancel the concert. The safety of all attendees, artists and crew comes first.”

Meanwhile, Burna Boy had responded to the protest days ago, that nothing would stop his show in SA.

“Lol. I’m coming and you and anyone against it are gunna have to kill me to stop me.”

The protest against the Nigerian star was caused by his tweets in September during the xenophobic attack. In a bid to stand for his country, he promised never to step his feet in SA until the government “wakes the f*ck up and  really performs a miracle”
